Instructions
on How To Unlock Blackberry Phones:
WARNING: Most provider allow 10 try for enter Unlock
Code. T-Mobile UK ONLY allows 3 try (T-Mobile UK
customer should only attempt 1 try per code, if code
error, contact us before continue). If you attempted
the three try, your phone will permanent locked to
T-Mobile UK.
Model: 6xxx 7xxx: Example; 6230, 7100, and 7290
etc.:
Before you start, you MUST take out the Sim Card
& turn OFF ALL wireless radios
1. Press the Menu key
2. Select Options / Settings
3. Select Sim Card
4. Enter MEPD (not case sensitive), Note: When
typing in MEPD, the letters will not appear on the
screen
5. Then enter MEP Hold Alt Key and type number 2.
NOTE: You must use the "alt" key to enable
numbers, example: enter MEP hold "ALT key"
and enter 2. Note: When typing in MEP2, the
letters/number will not appear on the screen, this
step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box. If you
do not see “Enter Network MEP” box, you didn't
type in MEP2 properly.
Model: 7100, 8100, 8110, 8120 & 8220:
Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card &
turn OFF ALL wireless radios
1. Press the Menu key
2. Scroll to Turn Wireless Off and press the
trackball (Will show Turn Wireless ON).
3. Scroll to Options and press the trackball.
4. Scroll to Advanced Options and press the
trackball.
5. Scroll to SIM Card and press the trackball.
6. Type MEPD (not case sensitive). Notice: Keep in
mind for mepd is meoop on these model. Because oo =
p. Note: When typing in MEPD, the letters will not
appear on the screen. This step opens up the
personalization on the device.
7. Type MEP, then hold ALT key and type number 2.
Note: When typing in MEP2 the letters/number will
not appear on the screen, this step open up the
“Enter Network MEP” box.
8. Enter Unlock Code
9. Press the Enter Key. (Make sure you press the
Enter Key within 5 second or you have to enter the
unlock code again).
Model: 8700, 8700c, 8700g, 8700r
Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card &
turn OFF ALL wireless radios
1. Press the Menu key
2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select
Turn All Connections Off.
3. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go
back to the Home screen.
4. Scroll to and select the Setting icon.
5. Scroll to Options
6. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.
7. Scroll to and select SIM Card.
8. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters
will not appear on the screen. This step opens up
the personalization on the device.
9. Type MEP then hold ‘ALT” key and type number
2. Note: When typing in MEP ATL 2 the letters/number
will not appear on the screen, this step open up the
“Enter Network MEP” box.
10. Enter the unlock code.
11. Press the Joydial to confirm (“Code Accepted
should display)
12. Press and hold the red End key to turn the
handheld off and then back on.
13. Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1
& 2 and restore connections.
Model: Curve 8300, 8310, 8320, 8520, 8800, 8820,
8900, Bold 9000, 9630 Tour, 9700 Bold
Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card (could be
Active or Inactive) & turn OFF ALL wireless
radios
1. Press the Menu key
2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select
Turn All Connections Off.
3. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go
back to the Home screen.
4. Scroll to and select the Options icon.
5. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.
6. Scroll to and select SIM Card.
7. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters
will not appear on the screen. This step opens up
the personalization on the device.

& 2 and restore connections.
Method 1: Model: 9500, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2
Before you start, you MUST have an Unauthorized Sim
Card inserted. Unauthorized Sim Card is a Sim Card
that is NOT belong to the provider of the phone.
Example: If you have a Verizon phone, you need to
insert a T-Mobile Sim Card inside the phone before
turn it on.
1. Power on the phone.
2. Phone will said "MEP check failed. Do you
want to enter MEP unlock code". Select Yes.
3. "Enter Network MEP code (# left)".
Enter the unlock code.
4. Press Enter, you should see “Code Accepted”
5. You need to check Network Connection is set on
GSM/UMTS. Menu>Manage Connection>Mobile
Network Options and make sure it GSM/UMTS.
6. Once GSM/UMTS is selected. You can now ready to
make phone call.
Notice: If the network not working after your phone
is fully charged and unlocking process “Code
Accepted”. You must change from Verizon CDMA
network to GSM Global Network a few times, after
change from Verizon CDMA to GSM Global 3 times is
completed, leaves it on GSM Global Network. Now it
should work. (Verizon 8830 World Edition DOES NOT
work in USA)
Method 2: Model: 8830, 9500, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm

sideways so you get the full QWERTY keypad.
1. Press the Menu key
2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select
Turn All Connections Off.
3. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go
back to the Home screen.
4. Scroll to and select the Options icon.
5. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.
6. Scroll to and select SIM Card.
7. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters

To use this code:
1. From the home screen of the Blackberry, press the

network to GSM Global Network a few times, after

Removing "Activation Required" on the
screen for Verizon Storm:
1. On the main screen, press ##000000
2. For the Mobile Directory Number, Enter your phone
number in here.
3. Press the Menu to save the options and the phone
will automatically restart.
How to Enter Unlock Codes on a BlackJack (i607)
Step Action
1. Insert NON Cingular SIM into device
2. Power on the device
2. Power on the device
- Wait approximately 30 seconds until the Sim Lock
application appears (the delay may be longer if the
user has already attempted an unlock with the wrong
code)
3. Enter the unlock code in the blank field
4. Press Ok
- If the unlock code is incorrect, an error dialog
will appear. After pressing Ok on this dialog, the
user has to re-enter the unlock code after delays
(see above in Device Specific Information)
- If the unlock code is correct, a success dialog
will appear.
5. Press Ok
- The device is now unlocked and should continue
booting

1. Insert disallowed simcard (a simcard that the
phone does not usaully accept) and enter unlock
codes when prompted

three attempts to unlock. After three attempts, the
device will refuse any more unlocking attempts.
Perform a soft reset to reset the counter to perform
additional unlocking attempts.
3) Device is not ready for unlocking. This error
message displays when the user tries to unlock when
the phone application (not the device) is not in a
steady state. It takes 30 seconds after powering on
the phone for it to reach a steady state.
*If you already have an unlock code and sim card but
when you input code, it always says " unlock
code not accepted, you have tried...." You must
update your ROM version . About 5% hp 6315 have this
problem.

If your phone has a "JOGDIAL" (for example
SonyEricsson K700i), then you must press the
"down arrow" instead of the "left

Sierra Wireless Aircard
Please download and install Sierra Watcher. Once you
have Watcher installed put the non-Cingular SIM into
the card and Watcher will prompt you to enter the
unlock code. Please make sure to enter the unlock
code correctly.
Sidekick Unlock Instructions:
1. Insert a SIM card from a different network
provider and turn on the Sidekick. A dialog screen
comes up, prompting you for the code.
2. The box will say:
Title: Special Code Required
Dialog: Enter code to enable SIM

3. In the upper right hand corner, the SIM is
flashing where the signal strength should be. On

Why do I have to wait 2 hours before I can enter the

This is because Motorola have added an anti brute
force protection and if you enter to many codes, the
phone will ask for NETWORK PUK and then it will
refuse to accept the code even if is the right one.

After I restart my phone, the phone is asking again
for SERVICE PROVIDER PIN. What shall I do to make it
